"This "meditation symposium" was not pleasing to the Lord."

MATTHEW 7:1-5

1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

"Whatever that means!"
I admire your elegant and thoughtful use of the English language. By "Doing a bit of research told me..." you mean wikipedia, right? Cool, just checking.

I've just updated the story with further audio on this subject from Jan Markell's radio program. The counter argument is presented by Dr. Jim Bilby from Bethel College as well as audio from the event in question.

ELO is exactly right. Markell was challenged by Professor Jim Beilby on her radio show on Saturday about the repeated inaccuracies in her presentation of this symposium. In typical fashion, she has not apologized, withdrawn her article, or attempted to correct the misinformation.

ELO

If Markell knew Paul Reasoner personally, as I do, she would realize she reached some very wrong conclusions. In the final paragraph of her article, she claims to be doing the exact opposite of what she is actually doing. Spreading accusations in public forums such as this, as opposed to going and speaking to Dr. Reasoner personally, to find out more about him and his views before starting all of this, leaves one with the impression that she is neither a caring nor a biblical believer, confronting him in person and in love. She did neither.
Matthew 18:15-17
